About us

It all started with one book.

At Christmas 2018, my wife gave me a book about bees. Back then we had no idea where this gift would one day lead us.

An interest in bees slowly grew into beekeeping, meeting people and finally our family project, KWET Honey House.

Our story

From a book to the Honey House

The gift that started it all

My wife gave me the book Bees. I had no idea yet how much this world would fascinate me and where it would gradually take me.

    Learning and the first hives

I started keeping bees, learned from experienced beekeepers and also completed training as a beekeeper. As the hives grew in number, so did the wish to bring the world of bees closer to other people.

We wanted to give people a way to support the bees and the beekeeper and to enjoy honey from their own adopted hive. That is how the Adopt a Hive project and the civic association Včielka Vetka came about. The name carries my wife's nickname from university. Her energy and hard work always reminded me of a little bee.

    The joy of meeting people

At first I organised visits for families with adopted hives. Later I took a glass hive to schools and kindergartens. These meetings showed me how much I enjoy showing the world of bees to others.

    The decision to carry on

After our son had a serious allergic reaction to a bee sting, I wondered whether to keep beekeeping. I decided to carry on, with even greater respect for bees and nature.

    How KWET was born

Gradually the idea came to create a place where people could get to know bees up close and rest in nature at the same time. When I told my wife about it, she loved it straight away. Together we set out to build KWET Honey House.

Our idea

A place where you can slow down for a while, be closer to nature and get to know the world of bees the way we know it.

What matters to us

We know the world of bees

Behind our enthusiasm are years of beekeeping, professional training and our own experience.

With respect for nature

Bees are part of our lives. We learn from them and respect their world.

A personal approach

KWET is our family project. We care that you feel comfortable and welcome with us.

We look forward to seeing you!

Reservations open on November 15, 2026. The Honey House opens on June 1, 2027.
